Puppies Have Arrived!

So we waited for a message from Gail to let us know that puppies had arrived. I was doing some wedding planning and meeting with a florist when I got the message from her on facebook and it took everything I had not to jump out of my seat and scream.

She was bummed to tell me that surprisingly there were no all black puppies born, but all dark sables and I was just as thrilled! I always loved how beautiful black sable German Shepherds are and to be honest, Rob actually wanted a sable rather than all black anyways. I couldn’t wait to see which one would end up ours!

Weeks went by and Gail kept us in the loop the entire time about how they were doing and sending us photos. I couldn’t believe how adorable they were. Three females and one male. Three of them were medium coats and one of the females was a long coat, she was already spoken for and going to Canada and Gail had decided that the male she was keeping in her family. So it was between the last two medium coat females and a couple more weeks they would be temperament tested and we would find out which girl was the best match for us.

Here are a few photos of them that Gail has sent us, the photo on the left is the three girls at 3 weeks old. The long coat on the far right and the two medium coats on the left and in the middle. When we got this photo,  both Rob and I immediately were drawn toward the girl in the middle, funny thing that it happened to be our Val 😉

The photo on the right they are 4-5 weeks old, our girl is on the right, look at all that sass!

P.S Sorry for the quality, everything was sent and saved off of facebook. Promise to have professional quality photos as soon as we get her home!

Gail was so amazing to continue to send us photos over the coming weeks so we could see how all of the puppies were doing. When we told her we had the feels for the middle pup she told me that it was a good coincidence since that was the puppy she was looking at for us. Unless her temperament changed that would be our puppy. Sure enough, she was! It is such an exciting process to receive updates and photos from our breeder, it made my day everytime I got a new photo of her.

Here she is with  her mama, Puma. She is SO GORGEOUS, I can’t get over how stunning she is, I think Val is going to look just like her.

I can’t explain my excitement. I know our whole lives are going to change but I welcome it with open arms. We pick her up March 19th and it can’t come soon enough!
